Senior Fixtures

A full list of 2010 senior fixtures are now on the Play Cricket website. Remember that all results should be entered via play-cricket this season - we will not be using result cards. Therefore you should ensure that you have your Play Cricket site ready for the forthcoming season.

GCB News

We often receive news from the GCB which we are then asked to send on to clubs. We don't think this is the most effective way to deal with these items, although some of them may be very relevant and important to your club. We believe that sending too many emails will result in you not opening them. Rather than this method, all news received from the GCB will appear on our SDCA GCB pages. We will occasionally send clubs a reminder to keep viewing these pages but this will be your responsibility. These pages will be here until the GCB launches its own news website later in 2010.

Everyman Cancer

In September Hardwicke's James Van Nijkerk is undertaking a charity car rally through Europe to raise money for a male cancer research charity called Everyman. Everyman was launched with two aims, to break the taboos surrounding prostate and testicular cancer and raise awareness. . Raising funds will ensure that Everyman scientists can continually carry out vital research, improving the outlook for everyman. The cost of the rally will come via James' pocket (and that of two colleagues) meaning all the money raised goes to charity. To donate go to www.justgiving.com/DDJ - it's quick, easy and painless.

Evening Leagues

A full report of the 2009 Evening League season is now available. We are hoping to open the competition up to include more social sides in 2010. Contact Keith Atkinson at keith@atkmail.co.uk for further details.

Umpires Courses

We are hoping to organise a variety of Umpires courses this Spring but will only do this if enough people are interested. If you are interested please contact admin@sdca-cricket.co.uk. a.s.a.p.
