- The Association shall be known as The Stroud and District Cricket Association.
- The object of the Association is to encourage all aspects of cricket in the Stroud District.
- The Officers of the Association shall consist of the following:
- President
- Vice-President
- Umpires Representative
- Chairman
- Vice-Chairman
- Association General Secretary
- Treasurer
- Youth & Coaching Secretary
- K.O. General Secretary
- GCB Rep
- League Secretary
- The League, Evening League, and Knock-Out competitions shall be administered
by a management committee comprising the officers set out above together with
representatives of each division of the league which shall be delegated to
organise and run the competition. The management committee shall be empowered
to
(a) make amendments and/or additions to the competition rules, provided that any proposed changes are supported by a two thirds majority of the total management committee, and to put into effect any changes in the rules.
(b)co-opt new members as necessary
Youth Cricket shall also be administered by a management committee led by the Youth and Coaching Secretary with similar powers to those of the management committee for the League and Knock-Out. - An A.G.M shall be held between November 15th and December 7th in each year for the purpose of electing officers, fixing the Annual Subscription for member clubs, and for transacting such other business as may have been delivered to the Association General Secretary in writing not less than 7 days beforehand. The Association General Secretary shall give all officers and member clubs not less than 21 days' notice in writing of the A.G.M.
- An Extraordinary General Meeting may be called at any time, either on the request of the Management Committee, or on receipt by the Association General Secretary of a written request signed by the representatives of not less than 7 member clubs. Such a meeting shall take place within 28 days of the Association General Secretary's receipt of the requisite request.
- Membership of the Association shall be open to all cricket clubs in the area covered by Stroud District Council on payment by that club of the appropriate Annual Subscription. All clubs shall become members of the Gloucestershire Cricket Board. The Stroud and District Umpires' Association shall be considered an Honorary Member Club.
- Each member club shall be entitled to send one representative to any General Meeting of the Association (Elected Officers of the Association shall not be considered representatives of any club) and any motion placed before such a meeting shall be resolved by the votes of the elected officers together with one vote from each club represented at the meeting. No person shall vote on behalf of more than one member club.Any club not attending the AGM will be fined a sum not exceeding £20
- Any motion proposing alteration to any of this Constitution shall not be decided by any General Meeting of the Association but at the A.G.M or at a Special General Meeting for that purpose. Such motions shall be submitted in writing to the Association General Secretary before October 31st in any year and he shall then circularise all clubs with details of such motion with notice of the meeting.
- The Financial Year of the Association will end on the 31st October in each year.
