New Playing Rules
We are currently amending and enhancing league rules to deal with issues such as reduced over games, notification of result and player eligibility. These will be available online shortly.
Umpires Course
We are trying to organise an Introduction Course for those interested in umpiring. It will be (hopefully) one evening or a Sunday morning and will last 3 hours covering the main laws which you will come across on a Saturday. Register your interest at admin@sdca-cricket.co.uk as soon as possible.
League Fixtures
You will now be able to view provisional fixtures for 2012. If you need to make changes you should confirm with your opponents and advise Mike Hanks by email. No fixtures can be re-arranged after the end of season (1st September). All re-arrangement requests must be made by the end of March and will not be valid until agreed by Mike.
Further Fixture Information
Each team will play 12 league games (i.e. play every other team once) in Division Two. We have left plenty of gaps and most teams will not begin the league season until 19th May. We encourage clubs to arrange friendly games against other Div Two teams should they wish to play more cricket. In addition, if you find you have large gaps without a game you are welcome to try and re-arrange league fixtures in Div Two to suit your club. Bear in mind you may come across the same issues that Mike Hanks has had in finding a venue to play re-arranged games. Also you must ensure Mike is notifed of all fixture amendments and agrees to the changes. All re-arrangements must be confirmed by the end of March.
