Are you ready ?

Don't forget that results in 2010 need to be entered on play-cricket - there will be no results cards. Therefore you need to ensure your club has a play cricket website and can see your fixtures. If you need help contact admin@sdca-cricket.co.uk as soon as possible. These pages will remain though - well, where else could you expect pithy, incisive comment and such glorious entertainment all for FREE !!

Lords International

At the recent AGM clubs voted 6-4 in favour of using two balls per game next season. The ball we will be using is to be supplied by Lords International. These balls were trailed successfully at the end of last season and will hopefully prove to be much better quality. In return for using their balls, Lords are sponsoring the Premier League next season - therefore this league will now be called the SDCA Lords Premier League. The Lords International website can be found by clicking here

Everyman Cancer

In September Hardwicke's James Van Nijkerk is undertaking a charity car rally through Europe to raise money for a male cancer research charity called Everyman. Everyman was launched with two aims, to break the taboos surrounding prostate and testicular cancer and raise awareness of them amongst men and women. Raising funds will ensure that Everyman scientists can continually carry out vital research, improving the outlook for everyman. The cost of the rally will come via James' pocket (and that of two colleagues) meaning all the money raised goes to charity. To donate go to www.justgiving.com/DDJ - it's quick, easy and painless.
