Stroud win the under 13 K.O. Cup
Stroud won the toss and opted to bat in the Final of the U13 Knockout Cup played at Hardwicke. Halfway through the first innings Stroud were 4 wickets down for 53 runs, 38 scored by Chris Williams-Camp who was eventually caught by Brad Fern off Josh Davies. A second wicket from Ben Hopkins made 5 wickets for Hardwicke. There were good batting performances from Jack Sherrington (17) and Rob Smith (24), both not out for a Stroud total of 98 for 5.

Turl and Alex Ireland led the batting for Hardwicke and after 13 overs
the score
of 59 for 5
matched Stroud’s performance in the first innings.
Determined to win, Stroud tightened their fielding and contained the runs.
Excellent spin bowling from Kieran Smith (3 for 8 runs) and Chris Williams-Camp
(2 for 10 runs) with one wicket apiece from Milo Silk and Jack Sherrington
helped Stroud win by 16 runs. It was a close and exciting game with the final result hanging in the balance
until the last few overs. Stroud now go through to the District Quarter Finals
to play Bishopston in Bristol this week.
