Under 15 League & Cup Rules

Rules changes 2007 are highlighted with **

1. Players to be under 15 on September 1st prior to the start of the season of the competition. No player may play for more than one club in the competition.

2. Matches to be played under M.C.C. laws.

3. Each innings to be of 20 overs if possible. Fewer overs can be played subject to the Captains agreement to a minimum of 10 overs per side.

4. Bowlers to be limited to bowling 4 overs. Pitch length is 22 yards

5. Home side to provide a suitable ball (5.5 oz)

6. Each side to provide a competent umpire and scorer.

7. The side scoring the most runs will win. If sides level after 20 overs, the side losing fewer wickets will win, if undecided the match will be decided by score at end of 15 overs.

8. Sides get 1 point each for every completed League game. Winners get a further 2 points. If matches are postponed due to bad weather they do not have to be re-arranged - both teams get 1 point. All re-arranged matches must be played by a week after the last league fixture.

** 9. The league organiser must be notified of results within 5 working days. The home team can either email the results (plus highlights and a report if necessary) to dave@woodlandsls.freeserve.co.uk and admin@sdca-cricket.co.uk or send the result by post. Failure to send a result in by the time allowed will result in a £5 fine.

10. Entry fee per team is £10.00.

11. Bowlers run up to be limited to about 15 yards.

12. Players must be members of the club they represent.

13. No underarm bowling allowed.

14. Helmets must be worn by both batsmen and wicketkeepers when appropriate.

15. Time outs may be called after ten overs to enable the coaches to talk to their sides (maximum of 3 minutes)

16. League winners will be the side with most points. If there is a tie result between teams involved will decide winners
