Note: through these rules the options shown in emboldened italics indicate the options for Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15 age groups.
- Players (boys and girls) must be under the age of 11/13/15 on the September 1st prior to the competition. Any team fielding an over age player risks forfeiting any points won.
- Entry Fee per team - £10 for the League, £10 for the Cup.
- Players and coaches should adhere to the Spirit of Cricket at all times.
- No player may play for more than one club unless permission given by League organiser. (N.B. if a club has more than one team, players can switch between teams EXCEPT in the Knockout Cup, where an appearance for a team means they are Cup-tied). Where a club has more than one team in the same division, players may not switch.
- Pitch to be 20 / 21 / 22 yards.
- A ball of 4¾/ 4¾/5½ ounces to be used. Ball to be provided by home side.
- Each side to provide a competent umpire and scorer.
- Bowlers are limited to 3 / 4 / 4 overs per game. No under arm bowling is allowed
- The side finishing with the most runs shall be the winner.
- Points: 3 for a win, 2 for a tie, 1 for no result, 1 for a defeat. In the event of a game being rained off both teams will receive one point - if a team fails to fulfil a fixture the opposition team is awarded the game.
- The league organiser must be notified of results by email within 5 working days.
Score highlights and a report if possible should be included. Failure to send a result in by
the time allowed may result in a fine of £5. Organisers are as follows

- Helmets must be worn by all batsmen and by wicketkeepers where appropriate. 'Face masks' are not allowed.
- League winners will be the side finishing with nost points. In the event of a tie the results between the two sides will be taken into account. The league organisers reserves the right to ask clubs to play rained off or cancelled matches should that match have an effect on the title.
The following rules are specific for the Under 15 Leagues and Under 13 League A (11-a-side leagues)
- Matches to be of 20 overs per side. Fewer overs can be played subject to the Captains agreement to a minimum of 10 overs per side. At U13 level batsmen do not have to retire but it is hoped that coaches use their commen sense and sicretion over the length of an innings to ensure all players are involved.
- If sides are level after 20 overs the side losing fewer wickets will win. Otherwise a tie is called.
- Time out may be called at the end of 10 overs and will last for a maximum of 3 minutes.
- No player may stand less than 10 yards from the bat apart from wicketkeeper and slips.
- Bowlers run ups limited to about 10 / 15 yards. A white line should indicate the limit.
The following rules are specific for the Under 11 Leagues and Under 13 League B (i.e. 8-a-side)
- Matches to be of 16 / 20 overs per side.
- Each team shall comprise of 8 players. In the event of one team only being able to field 7 players, and where the opposition cannot help out by lending this team an extra player, a player can bat twice. However, to avoid unfair advantage, the opposition coach has the right, following the completion of batting by the third pair, to choose which player bats again.
- The batting side shall bat in pairs, each pair batting for four / five overs
- No player may stand less than 10 yards from the bat apart from wicketkeeper and slips.
- Bowlers run ups limited to about 10 yards. The 10 yard line should be marked with a white line.
- Time out may be called at the end of 8 / 10 overs and will last for a maximum of 3 minutes
- Each side to be awarded 200 runs at the commencement of an innings.
- Batsmen shall have unlimited 'lives'. Each life lost shall be recorded on the score sheets. 8 runs shall be deducted from the total for each life (wicket). Batsmen to change ends at the fall of each wicket except on the last ball of an over. In run out situations make sure the non striker faces the next ball.
- Every player must bowl except the wicket keeper. No player may bowl more than 3 / 4 overs.
- Wides will be awarded as 2 runs and no more than 8 balls including wides will be bowled per over except for normal rules for the last over in the innings.
Cup matches at any age are 20 over games. Matches rained off must be re-arranged and played before the date
of the next scheduled round. Batsmen at Under 11 age group must retire at 50.
